Acts 1:8

Missions

"And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Whittington Church's philosophy on Missions Giving is based on Acts 1:8, where Jerusalem represents local, Samaria represents regional, and 'ends of the earth' represents International. We give 10% of what we receive to missions. Through missions giving, we have had the opportunity to support those we know on the mission field, and to build relationships with missionaries all over the world. Whether we are serving the community on our monthly HELPS Distribution day, hosting a blood drive, or feeding our local Senior Adults at the monthly Senior's Meal, Whittington Church loves to serve! Whittington Church is active and growing. There are many opportunities on a weekly basis to connect with other believers in our body. The New Testament command is to 'love one another'. We cannot fulfill God's command if we aren't in relationship with people. We can only love those we know. So we offer ways every week to "connect" and get to know our church family. By connecting with others in our church family, we "don't do life alone!" Click the photo to the left for more information.
